FAQ: How Do Rules Work With Specific Coins?

In a rule where specific coins (e.g BTC, ETH) are selected instead of ANY COIN will the rule read it as OR? E.g. "if BTC or ETH or DOGE or VXZ have a price increase", will the rule work with one of the specified coins or all specified coins?

Answer: All the coins will have their prices read and checked separately.

f A Rule Has A Condition: "Buy Any Coin With RSI Lower Than 40" And There Is Coin A With RSI of 30 and Coin B with RSI of 20. Which Coin Will The Rule Buy? A or B? How Do Rules Calculate Combined Requirements?

In this example the rule will buy coin B, because the condition results are sorted by the indicator selected. If the operator is ‘lower than’ or ‘decrease by’, the rule will always pick the coin with the lowest value that meets the condition. For ‘greater than’ and ‘increase by’, the rule will pick the coin with the highest value.

If I Use “From Current Live Price” Criteria In A Rule Which Works With Multiple Coins, Would The Live Price Be Updated For Each Coin In The Rule Each Time Any Coin Meets The Buy Or Sell Condition?

Yes. Each coin is validated separately against its data, live price, market cap, volume etc.

"From Current Live Price” Criteria

Question 1: When the bot has processed a batch of valid coins from the "1st IF Block" to the "2nd IF block" does the scanner still simultaneously look for new coins that may be eligible for the 1st IF Block while-at-the-same-time still processing the valid group of coins from the 2nd "IF BLOCK" into the 3rd IF Block. How does the scanner work?

Answer: Coins are reviewed rule based not sequence based, so each execution cycle of the rule will have the same set of coins starting from sequence 0 (First if condition) till the end. That's why on the following IF blocks, "any coin" cannot be chosen, you can either select "that coin" or a specific coin.

Q2: If the bot has processed a group of coins from the 1st IF Block to the 2nd IF Block, does the bot wait for another "5 + 10 = 15 minutes" before looking for a new set/group of coins to introduce into the 1st IF BLOCK?

Answer: The rule won't go back to sequence zero, unless it has been through all of the sequences and executed all of the actions, then it will go back to sequence zero (First IF block) and re-evaluate.

Q3: Is the Coin scanner always scanning/looking for valid coins all the time (I.e. every single second of every single minute of every single hour), or does the Coin scanner take breaks once in a while (e.g every 60 seconds)?

The "Keep Position Open" feature is designed to allow traders to maximize their potential gains by incrementally selling off a portion of a coin's position based on its sell conditions rather than selling it all at once.

: When using the "keep position open" option alongside candle-based conditions, such as within a specific time frame (e.g. within 30 min and so on), the rule will execute a single sell per candle. For example, if the rule is set to sell 50% of a coin and keep the position open within 30 minutes, it will execute the first 50% sell and then wait for the next 30 minute candle to evaluate the condition again.

: If multiple conditions with different time periods are used in a rule, the rule will hold the position for the shortest timeframe amongst them. For instance, if the conditions are set as "IF within 

 minutes," the rule will sell and wait for the next 

: The "from price at which you bought" option remains extremely relevant with the "keep position open" feature. When the initial 50% is sold, the price reference is updated to the current execution price. Subsequently, the rule starts evaluating like "from price as which you previously sold". This ensures that subsequent evaluations consider previous execution price, which prevents unexpected behavior.

Trailing functionality operates similarly when using 'keep position open', adjusting the reference point as trades are executed while keeping the position open.
